May Day Hospital
Our Staff Counselling service at a major NHS hospital in Croydon is looking
for volunteer/trainee supervisors for our small counselling team. All our
Honorary Counsellors are qualified in various different schools of thought
including CBT. Our group supervision meets on alternate Mondays at 3pm and
there is also a need for individual supervision. Our case manager and
co-ordinator will be available for mentoring.

Kingston Bereavement Service is looking for two volunteer supervisors to work with groups, and perhaps individual counsellors/bereavement volunteers. They are particularly looking for supervisors who have had some experience of or an interest in bereavement, although they are happy to provide specific training in this area. We are an organisation who support people with anxiety disorders and we provide many different areas of support and services. Further information can be found at www.anxietycare.org.uk.
We are based at the Cardinal Heenan Centre, 326-328 High Road, Ilford, Essex IG1 1QP. The timings vary and are usually negotiated between the supervisor and the group members, so there is flexibility around this.
I also arrange a catch up with our supervisors every 2-3 months, to see how things are going.

Requires supervisor/s for weekly groups on Thursdays at 6.20pm and Wednesdays at 5pm from January 2010.
Pay rate £41.25 per group session. Free supervision of supervision provided on Thursday fortnightly at 11am.
Role includes supporting students undertaking psychodynamic training.

WLCC offers placements for Trainee Counsellors and Trainee Supervisors. The Centre is located in Shepherd's Bush and accommodates around 12 Trainee Supervisors and 60 Trainee Counsellors.
The Centre adheres to a generic model.
We can offer you:
a regular fortnightly supervision group of three trainee counsellors (2 hours)
regular access to and support from the Supervision Co-ordinator
feedback procedures to enhance reflection and discussion
short specific in-house training (e.g. supervision of time-limited work)
experience of supervision in a multi-cultural and diverse community
experience of supervising across models and time-limited work and in a group setting
You need to:
commit yourself to a minimum of one year
be a qualified/accredited (or eligible) counsellor/psychotherapist
be in the process of training as supervisor or having completed a training
