Entry Requirements:
Requirements for course participants:Course members are expected to be trained in counselling or agreed equivalent to Diploma level, and either be accredited with BACP or able to be accredited, or Registered with UKCP or similar body with a minimum of 4 years post qualified experience of at least 150 hours per year.
Course members who come from related professions are expected to have a professional qualification at graduate level. They are also required to have 4 years of post qualified experience and some training in counselling skills. People who have entered the course in the past have been from the medical profession, drug and alcohol workers, spiritual directors, social workers, and alternative therapists. Please make clear on your application form that you do have these entry requirements.
Have opportunities to supervise at least 2 separate individuals or 1 group and 1 individual during the course in order to fulfil the 50 hours of supervision practice required in the training year.
Practice in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework or similar.
Application and Registration Procedure
Please complete the Application Form and a copy will be sent back to you directly. This will form the first entry in your assessment portfolio.If your application satisfies the course requirements an email will be sent to you to offer a provisional place on the course. You will also receive, by attachment, documents to read to decide whether this is a suitable course to fulfil your training requirements.
To accept the place you need to read and accept the course working agreement, confidentiality agreement and assessment requirements. Your place will be secure once we receive your registration form and your deposit. The registration form is your commitment to participate in the course and pay in full. The deposit secures you a place at the venue and is therefore non refundable if at a later date you withdraw unless there is a waiting list.
Please answer all questions fully or we will not be able to consider whether you have sufficient training and experience. Please ensure that you have read the entry requirements and your application makes it clear that you fulfil them.
When we have received your Registration forms and deposit you will be sent a copy of the Cascade Handbook by email.
